Intruder alarms
An intruder alarm can be a vital part of an overall security system, and as well as efficiently detecting intruders, their very presence radically reduces security incidents. CompuMe's hi-tech systems seamlessly integrate with other security devices to provide a complete security solution for your premises.

We're an UL approved intruder alarm installer, with more than 10 years experience installing complete intruder alarm systems and particular expertise with commercial installations.

Our systems are installed and maintained in business premises throughout the GTA as well as in private homes.

There are several different types of alarm systems to choose from. These are audible only, fully monitored, or a speech-dialer system. The system you choose depends on what you require from your alarm.

Bells (Audible) only alarms
This is generally the most basic option and unlikely to be acceptable to an insurer if you are protecting commercial premises. In simple terms, if the alarm is triggered, an audible alarm sounds to alert you (or a neighbour) that an intruder has entered (or is trying to enter) the premises.

Monitored systems
The system installed may be the same of similar to a bells only system, except that when the alarm is activated, a signal informs a Alarm Receiving Centre. They may confirm that the alarm is not false and if necessary they inform the Police, private security service provider and/or keyholder.
Monitored systems do not guarantee a Police response. If it is reasonably certain that someone has entered he premises, it will be flagged as a priority call. However, if a system has several false alarms in a period of time, it will be considered a lower priority by Police.

Speech-dialer or Auto (GSM) dialer system
A cheaper option than having a fully monitored system is called a speech-dialer. With a Speech-dialer, when the alarm is activated, pre-programmed numbers of your choice will be dialed and a pre-recorded message alerts the keyholder or the person in the business responsible for responding to the alarm. If the phone line is cut or disabled no signal can be sent.
A GSM alarm unit send you and/or other contacts a text message. It is not dependent on the phone line. It can typically send a text to up to three numbers, there is no third party monitoring and can use any major high-street SIM on a network of your choice (for example Rogers, Telus, Bell and so on). This can be a cost effective option as an alternative to a monitoring contract.
